Just Because...

Sometimes the candid moments are the most stunning. Proof.
Meet Oakley June.

Waiting in her stroller oh so patiently for the bride to come out of the temple.
Love this picture of my beautiful niece.

Katie and Tyler {Sneak Peak}

A week ago I had the privilege of taking my sister-in-law's engagement photos. She wanted something fun and whimsical so we hit up the nearest local carnival. I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. SO many wonderful pictures!  Here are a couple she didn't pick for her wedding invitations but I still loved. On the more serious side compared to most of the rest but I loved how they turned out.

Many more to come!

Johnson Family

Meet the Johnsons.
I had a wonderful time taking their family pictures!
It took Elsi (the toddler) a little bit to warm up to the idea ... but by the end even she was enjoying herself.

Ryan was my right hand man and carried all my gear. And of course the reason we got these fabulous smiles.

He is standing behind me with Maddie making everyone laugh. Thank you honey!!

Love how Elsi is holding her little brother... classic. And what a good boy... he just grins from ear to ear.

This little man was all smiles for his mommy. I love capturing moments like this.

Off for a potty break but still beautiful ... candid moments are the best.

Elsi couldn't take her eyes off of the ducks.
It was what she had been patiently waiting for all evening.

Beautiful Girl

I chase her with the camera these days. Because literally she runs from me when I take it out.

She kept coming out onto the porch and depositing kitchen cupboard contents, like craisins and large costco size boxes of dried fruit  (among other things), onto the patio table. It is her "thing" to re-organize around here. Since she was out in the good light I thought I would give it a chance. She ran around the patio table. So I did what any good mom would do.

"Maddie, do you want a jelly bean?"
she stopped dead in her tracks. I ran and got a jelly bean and proceeded to hold it right next to my camera lens.

Boy does she know how to work it for a jelly bean.

A new post for some fresh blog air

Just posted these on my family blog but I am going to be redundant and post them here.
It has been embarrassingly too long before I've posted here and it needs to be aired out a little.

Nothing like a bright tutu to breathe in a little freshness!

Besides I might not have been able to resist anyways. I mean, look at that bellybutton. Its scrumptious!

She has a fascination with faucets

checking out her bellybutton

These are the details that I will miss terribly someday

In order to keep her on the counter I had to not only turn on the water but also give in to letting her have my toothbrush. I am sure one day she will be thrilled by that!

My last post I promised there would be more of little Mae coming soon. Maybe I was a little later than sooner but I have been a busy bee trying to catch up. Soon, soon I promise!
